Freedom Frog is our Mascot and 'his' educational thrust is to teach children the cycle of addiction can be broken and there is help and hope from the suffering caused by the disease of alcoholism. Our frog is the Smokey Bear of recovery, carrying the message that only "you can prevent Drug Abuse and Alcoholism". The ill effects of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction are not just suffered by the individual using, but the entire family who also need help and support from the problems that alcohol and drugs cause.
Freedom Frog appears at school based activities like Red Ribbon Day, Just Say No To Drugs Day, Back to School Safety Day, the Mayor's Picnic, and Boys and Girls Clubs all over the state. The Frog has visited many communities in the state including Barrow, Anatubic Pass, Willow, Wasilla, Juneau, Seward, the Kenai Peninsula and Anchorage (his home). The Frog marched proudly in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, carrying the message of Help and Hope to everyone Affected by Drugs and Alcohol.
